Microscopic hematuria is common cause for referral to urology, nephrology or both. However, the definition and evaluation of microscopic hematuria is not established. The most common urologic causes are benign hyperplasia, urinary calculi and infection. But urologic malignancy is found about 2.6% to 4% in patients with microscopic hematuria. The assessment of microscopic hematuria patient is include a history, physical examination and a radiologic evaluation such as multi-phasic computed tomography. Especially in high risk patient(35 years and older, smoking history, male gender, chemical exposure), malignancy rate is more increased, cystoscopy and cytology should be performed.
